McGraw-Hill Construction and the AGC Extend Partnership Through March 2010

McGraw-Hill Construction to continue publishing the AGC Constructor Magazine, Membership Directory, and Service & Supply Guide

New York, N.Y., March 21, 2007 — McGraw-Hill Construction, the premier provider of construction information and intelligence in North America, and part of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE:MHP), and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), one of the nation’s largest construction trade associations, today announced they have extended their partnership to have McGraw-Hill Construction publish AGC’s Constructor Magazine, Membership Directory and Service & Supply Guide through March 31, 2010.

McGraw-Hill Construction publishes the industry’s leading design and construction publications, including the award-winning Engineering News-Record (ENR), Architectural Record, GreenSource and 11 regional publications, with readership in excess of half a million. “McGraw-Hill Construction is extremely pleased that its very successful partnership with the AGC has been extended to 2010,” notes James H. McGraw, IV, group publisher for McGraw-Hill Construction.  “We look forward to continuing to bring our editorial, sales, design and production expertise to Constructor magazine, as well as the AGC’s Membership Directory and Service & Supply Guide.  We also look forward to continuing to work closely with the AGC leadership and staff to serve the information needs of their membership.”

Constructor reaches contractors, suppliers, and service provider AGC members who perform highway, building, underground, heavy, and industrial construction nationwide.

“We are always looking for ways to better serve our membership and the industry as a whole,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, chief executive officer of the Associated General Contractors of America. “Ninety percent of our members rate Constructor as the “most” utilized AGC service. Our decision to continue our publishing partnership with McGraw-Hill Construction is based on the success of this effort since its inception in August of 2004.  Our joint editorial advisory board, composed of AGC officers and McGraw-Hill Construction editorial and business leaders, is ensuring the type of quality news our members and the industry have come to expect from us and from McGraw-Hill Construction.”

Constructor won both national and regional awards in late 2005 from the American Society of Business Publication Editors—a national award for the redesign of the magazine and a regional award for a technology article called “The Future is Now, 3D Modeling.”
