McGraw-Hill Construction Honors Four Top Building Marketing Programs
Excellence in Marketing Series - Sweets Marketplace Awards Presented at the CSI Show in Chicago

NEW YORK -- April 22, 2004-- McGraw-Hill Construction, part of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), today celebrated its fifth annual Sweets Marketplace Awards honoring four building product manufacturer's marketing programs in Sweets. The awards reception took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in conjunction with the 48th Annual CSI Show in Chicago, IL., from April 21 - 23, 2004.

The Sweets Marketplace Awards, part of the McGraw-Hill Construction Excellence in Marketing series, recognize building product manufacturers whose marketing programs have exceptional marketplace presence in terms of organized technical content, aesthetic appeal, and concise and usable data. Five leading specification writers, including Edith Washington, President of CSI, judged the submissions.

The four winners were:

  • Johns Manville - for Best Technical Program
  • Vetter Stone Company - for Best Designed Program
  • Mankato Kasota Stone, Inc. - for Best Electronic Program and,
  • Construction Specialties, Inc. - for Best in Sweets

    McGraw-Hill Construction Sweets provides architects, engineers, contractors and other construction industry players with easier and smarter ways to find, compare, select, specify and make purchase decisions in the product marketplace. In-depth product information is made available in print, CD-ROM and online so it's accessible in any format, at any time.

    Honorable mentions were also given to Sloan Valve Company, Pittsburgh Corning, Blumcraft of Pittsburgh, Kalwall Corporation, epro Services, Inc, Jeld-Wen and Babcock-Davis.
